I designed this book for the Re-Entry Guide Initiative, a branch of the Education Justice Project. EJP connects people impacted by incarceration with the resources they need for a healthy transition to life after prison.

 

This zine was a personal project designing a zine confronting a social issue, more specifically, food and its relation to social class. I titled the zine "Salt of the Earth" because of its biblical significance and relation to food.

EJP publishes two reentry guides, Mapping Your Future: A Guide to Successful Reentry in Illinois and A New Path: A Guide to the Challenges and Opportunities After Deportation. I was lucky enough to be a part of the creation of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 editions of these guides. Read more about the Re-Entry Guides.
